FRIED CORN 
1/2 dozen ears of corn, cut off of ears
1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter
1/4 c. water
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper

Melt butter in 12-inch skillet. Add corn with water, salt and pepper. Cook in skillet 10 minutes, then simmer an additional 10 minutes. Then serve. Serves 4 people.
