APPLE CRISP 
4 c. sliced and peeled tart apples
1/4 c. orange juice
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. butter

(Or 1 pound 2 ounce can of pie sliced apples, drained).

Mound apples in a buttered 9 inch pie plate, sprinkle with orange juice. Combine sugar, flour, spices and dash of salt; cut in butter until crumbly; sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp. (Serve warm with cream if desired). Serves 6.
