APPLE CRISP 
4 c. sliced cooking apples (4-6 med. sized)
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. sifted enriched flour
1 c. Quaker or Mothers Oats quick or old fashioned, uncooked
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. melted butter

Place apples in greased shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine dry ingredients. Add melted butter, mixing until crumbly. Sprinkle crumb mix on top of apples. Bake in moderate oven, 375 degrees, for 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm or cold with ice cream. If apples are very tart, sweeten slightly. Serves 6.
