APPLE CRISP CAKE 
4 c. sliced apples
1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Place sliced apples in a greased casserole. Sprinkle with lemon juice and sugar. Blend butter, brown sugar, flour and add oats. Spread this topping over the apples. Bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees, 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve plain or with whipped cream or ice cream. Serves 4 to 6.
