SWEET AND SOUR LONG ISLAND BEEF 
1-2 c. cubed beef (leftover roast beef or 1 1/2 lbs. stewing beef (simmer
until tender)
2 sm. onions, sliced lengthwise
1 green pepper, cut in slices
Dash of garlic salt
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. soya sauce
1 tbsp. vinegar

Brown onion and green pepper for approximately 30 minutes. After I stew meat I add to this or just add cooked meat to this water and rest of ingredients. Thicken with cornstarch. Cook for 20 minutes longer. Serve over rice or noodles. Goes nice with salad and buns. (2 cups beef is better.)
