SODA CRACKER CAKE 
4 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. crushed salted soda crackers
4 egg whites, beaten
1 c. raspberry jam
1 pkg. macaroons
1 c. cream, whipped
Powdered sugar
Vanilla

Add sugar to beaten yolks. Add chopped nuts, vanilla, butter and crackers. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into 2 (9") pans, lined with wax paper that has been greased. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool. Then spread with 1/2 cup jam, cover with macaroons that have been dipped in water. Repeat. Cover with whipped cream flavored with rum if desired.
