KENTUCKY POUND CAKE 
1 lb. softened butter
6 eggs, well beaten
3 c. sugar
4 c. flour
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond
1/2 tsp. lemon

Cream butter until LIGHT. Add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Alternate flour, milk and extract. Beat at high speed 1 minute. Bake in greased and floured 10 inch tube pan for 2 hours at 300 degrees. Cool in pan. Raisins or chocolate chips can be added.
