TAKE-ALONG BARBECUE | |
3 to 4 c. cubed, cooked beef 2 med. onions, chopped 1 med. green pepper, chopped 2 to 3 tbsp. cooking fat 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce 2 tbsp. prepared mustard 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 tsp. salt 8 to 12 hamburger buns Lightly brown beef, onion and green pepper in cooking fat in large skillet. Add tomato sauce, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Bring to boil, stirring to combine. Reduce heat and cook slowly 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve on buns. NOTE: Pot roast can be prepared to provide beef or any leftover cooked beef can be used. |
