SOFT SOUR CREAM COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
3 eggs
1 c. sour cream
5 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Cream 2 cups sugar, butter and eggs until fluffy. Add sour cream, flour, soda, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Mix thoroughly and chill overnight. Roll 1/4 inch thick.

Cut out and bake on greased cookie sheet 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle sugar on top of cookies before baking. Do not overbake (brown). Cookies will be hard if overbaked.
