POLISH TURKEY SAUSAGE WITH CABBAGE & SWEET POTATOES | |
1 lb. turkey sausage, cut into 2 inch pieces 1 can chicken broth 1 med. onion, chopped 1 med. head cabbage, chopped coarse 3 to 4 sweet potatoes, cut in 2 inch pieces 1 apple, peel, core & dice 2 tbsp. prepared mustard Brown sausage in a little oil. Remove from pan and set aside. Add onion and cabbage to Dutch oven. Cook and stir over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes. Add chicken broth, sweet potato, apple, mustard and sausage. Mix gently and cook over low heat until potatoes are tender, approximately 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. |
