1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add the eggs and beat until light. Set aside. Mix together cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix real well.

Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool and spread with butter frosting found on confectioners' sugar box.
