PUMPKIN SPICE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. canned pumpkin
2/3 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour Wilton pumpkin pan. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Combine pumpkin and buttermilk. Sift together flour, spice, powder, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with pumpkin mixture, mixing thoroughly after each addition.

Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool for 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely before decorating. Ice with Wilton Decorator Icing (16 ounce can) tinted orange.
