FREEZER COOKIES 
4 c. brown sugar
1 c. soft butter
4 eggs
1 c. walnuts
5 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream brown sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, soda and cream of tartar together and gradually add to the above. Toward the end, you must mix the batter by hand. Divide into four parts. Roll each part in a 2 1/2 inch roll, wrap in waxed paper. Store in freezer overnight. With a sharp knife, slice 1/8 inch thick. Bake at 375 degrees for about 8-10 minutes.
