PEACH OR CHERRY COBBLER 
1 qt. can peaches
1 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 to 3 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 to 3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs

Pare peaches if green, cut into halves and cook with sugar and water until tender. Pour into baking dish, reserving 1/2 cup syrup. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder, add rest of sugar and eggs. Mix with milk and remaining juice. Pour batter over peaches and bake.
