1 yeast cake
1 qt. warm milk
1 egg, beaten
5 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 box raisins

Mix all ingredients together. Add the flour gradually so you can handle the dough without it being sticky. Place in a bowl; let rise until double in bulk.
