"GET WELL SOON" HOMEMADE CHICKEN
NOODLE SOUP

This easy recipe is perfect for those who enjoy chicken noodle soup, especially when they are not feeling well. Not only does this soup taste good, it is easy and fairly quick to make.

2 to 3 chicken pieces (your choice)
2 (12 oz. ea.) bags Dutch egg noodles
1 (15 oz.) can mixed vegetables (may use fresh)

DRIED SEASONINGS:

salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
2 chicken bouillon cubes

Boil chicken in regular size cooking pot until chicken starts to fall of the bone. Also add chicken bouillon cubes at this time.

Remove cooked chicken from boiling pot, and refill pot with enough water to boil noodles.

Boil water and then add noodles and boil for 10 minutes.

While noodles are boiling, remove chicken from any bones and cut into small bite size pieces.

After noodles are done cooking, add chicken, mixed vegetables and seasonings, to taste.

Note: Variations of vegetables can be 1 can of standard mixed vegetables; different cans combined, or even fresh vegetables. Seasoning can be changed upon personal preference.

Cook until vegetables are cooked and broth taste is satisfied.

Cook time is about 1 hour.

This soup was exactly what the doctor ordered! So comforting and easy to make. I swapped out the bouillon cubes for some homemade chicken broth I had in the fridge, which added an extra layer of flavor. Definitely a keeper for those chilly nights (or sick days!)
