BARB'S EASY HOMEMADE CHICKEN
NOODLE SOUP

When your sick and need comfort food, this is it. Its easy and so delicious! My husband says its better than Campbell's, and he dearly loves Campbell's chicken noodle soup. Near broke my arm patting myself on the back! If you have someone recuperating from an illness that requires a soft diet, this should do!

chicken (see note)
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter (no substitutions!)
2 quarts water (8 cups)
salt and pepper, to taste
2 pkgs. Ramen noodles
1 (32 oz.) box chicken broth (Swanson)

Note: I use frozen chicken tenders or frozen chicken wing pieces. You can use fresh pieces. According to how many you wish to feed add the amount they normally eat.

Boil chicken in water with one whole stick of butter until nearly done. Add 1 box (or large can) of chicken broth and 2 packets of seasoning from Ramen noodles. Cook 5 minutes more. Then add 2 packages of Ramen noodles and cook 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve.
