6 eggs, whites only 1 1/2 c. butter, melted and cooled 1 1/2 c. sugar Pinch of salt 2 c. sifted all purpose flour 2 c. coarsely chopped almonds Beat egg whites until foamy, then gradually beat in sugar. Slowly beat in flour and salt. Then beat in butter and almonds. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Spread with spoon. Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Makes 7 dozen VERY THIN cookies. |
