QUICK 'N EASY WHITE BREAD 
5-6 c. flour
1 pkg. yeast
2 c. milk
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. shortening

Combine 2 1/2 cups flour and yeast; heat milk, sugar, salt and shortening to lukewarm. Add to flour mixture; beat at low for 1/2 minute then high for 3 minutes. Stir in as much flour that can be mixed in with spoon. Turn out on floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise. Punch down and divide into two portions; let rest. Shape and place in loaf pan. Cover and let rise. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 45 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.
