1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. pecans
1 (9 inch) pie shell, baked
1 (5 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding and pie filling or 2 (3 1/4 oz.) pkgs.
3 c. milk with 5 oz. pkg. pudding or 3 1/2 c. milk for 2 (3 1/4 oz.) pkgs. pudding
1 env. Dream Whip

Heat butter and brown sugar with nuts in saucepan until melted. Spread in bottom. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes. Cool. Prepare filling as for pie. Cool 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Measure 1 cup filling; cover with wax paper and chill thoroughly. Pour other filling into shell and chill. Prepare Dream Whip. Fold 1 1/2 cups into 1 cup chilled filling. Spread over filling already in pie shell. Chill. Garnish with Dream Whip and pecans, if desired.
