SOUR CREAM APPLE PIE 
1 (9 inch) pie crust
2 c. pared, chopped apples
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 whole egg, slightly beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Place chopped apples in pastry shell. Combine flour, sugar and salt in bowl. Add sour cream, egg and vanilla (which is mixed together). Beat until smooth. Pour over apples in shell. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake 30 minutes longer. Remove from oven and add the crumb topping.

CRUMB TOPPING:

Blend together:

1/3 c. flour
1/3 c. white sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter

Sprinkle on top of pie and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
