MOM'S SOUR CREAM APPLE PIE | |
4 good size tart apples 3/4 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 (8 oz.) sour cream 9 inch pie shell 1 egg TOPPING: 1/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 stick butter TOPPING: Work together until crumbly and sprinkle over pie. Peel and dice apples and place in bottom of unbaked pie crust. Mix sugar, flour and salt. Beat egg; add to mixture. Add vanilla and sour cream and mix well together. Pour over apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle on topping and bake for another 10 minutes. Let pie cool at room temperature before slicing. |
