CREAMED CHIP BEEF 
15 oz. jar chopped dried beef
2 tbsp. butter, melted
4 1/2 c. milk, divided
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. beef flavored bouillon granules
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper
8 frozen pastry shells, baked

Saute beef in butter in a large skillet 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in 3 1/2 cups flour, simmer 3 minutes, stirring often. Combine remaining flour and bouillon cubes or granules in a small bowl. Gradually stir in remaining 1 cup milk. Gradually stir flour mixture into beef mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt and pepper. Spoon mixture into baked pastry shells. Yield: 8 servings. Toasted bread could be used in place of pastry shells.
