OYSTER STUFFING
1 stick butter
1 c. onion, finely chopped
1 pint oysters
1 box chicken flavor Stove Top stuffing

Melt butter in saucepan; sauté onion until soft. Drain oysters; save liquid. Place liquid in a 2 cup measure. Add enough water to make 2 cups.

Chop oysters. Add oyster liquid, oysters, and packet from stuffing mix to the onions in pan. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to very low. Cover; simmer 6 minutes.

Remove from heat; stir in stuffing crumbs. Cover; allow to stand for 5 minutes, stirring once or twice. (This stuffing can also be baked separately in greased baking dish at 325°F for 1/2 hour.)

Hi Carol,

If you're baking it, just mix the ingredients together and bake in a casserole dish, then bake as directed. Hope this helps!
