CAMOUFLAGE CAKE 
2 sticks (1 c.) butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. cocoa
1 1/3 tsp. baking soda
1 1/3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. beer
1 c. sauerkraut, rinsed, drained & finely chopped

Cream sugar, butter and eggs. Beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with the beer beginning and ending with the beer. Fold in sauerkraut. Bake in 2 large loaf pans at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes (or use a 10 inch tube pan). Cake is moist similar to a pound cake. (Don't tell people what this cake contains until after they've tasted it. They'll think it's full of coconut!)
