CINNAMON BUNS | |
2 c. flour 4 rounded tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. sugar 1/3 c. shortening 1 egg Milk 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. butter, softened Cinnamon Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add shortening and mix until small crumbs form. Break egg into measuring cup and add milk to make 3/4 cup. Stir into flour mixture, mix. Then roll on floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick. Mix brown sugar and butter and spread over dough. Sprinkle with a thin layer of cinnamon. Roll up, jelly roll fashion, and cut into 1-inch thick pieces. Evenly space in a round cake pan (mine is 9 inches wide). Bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes. (Use less time if your cake pan is wider.) |
