MAYONNAISE CAKE WITH CARAMEL ICING | |
CAKE: 2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. cocoa 1 c. Miracle Whip 1 c. water 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla ICING: 1 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. milk 2 tbsp. butter Approx. 2 tbsp. vanilla Powdered sugar CAKE: Mix all ingredients well and pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes; cool. ICING: Place 1 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup milk and 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan on the stove and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat, add vanilla and sift in powdered sugar until desired thickness is reached. Spread with icing warm for a slick smooth look. |
