SWEET PICKLES 
14 lb. green tomatoes
4 onions
6 bell peppers (1-2 may be red for beauty)
1 1/2 c. salt
2 celery stalks
6 c. sugar (1 may be yellow)
2 qt. vinegar
1 box pickling spices

Slice all of these and cover with cold water and 1 1/2 cups salt. Soak overnight. In A.M. drain. Add 2 stalks celery, cut in pieces, 6 cups sugar, 2 quarts cider vinegar and box mixed pickling spices in cloth bag. Cook until tender. Turn heat down when done and while packing in sterilized jars. Process after bottling 10-15 minutes after lids are on.
