SOFT PRETZELS 
1 loaf (1 lb.) frozen white bread dough
1 egg
Coarse salt
Onion salt, Parmesan cheese and mustard if desired

Let well wrapped dough thaw and reach room temperature. Divide it into 16 equal pieces. Roll each part into a rope 15 inches long. Twist each rope into a pretzel shape. Place on a greased baking sheet.

Brush egg with 1 tablespoon water. Brush pretzels with beaten egg and sprinkle with one of the salts or the cheese.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Bake until pretzels brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Cook on wire rack. If desired, serve with mustard.
