TURTLE CAKE | |
3/4 c. butter 1 (14 oz.) bag Kraft caramels 1/2 c. evaporated milk 1 German chocolate cake mix, prepared as directed on pkg. 1 c. chocolate chips 1 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts), chopped Combine butter, caramels and evaporated milk in pan and melt, stirring often. Mix cake mix as directed and pour half of mixture into a greased 13"x9"x2" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture over cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over caramel mixture. Pour remaining cake mixture over cake and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until done. If using glass pan, bake at 325 degrees. |
