HOT MULLED CIDER 
2 qt. apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves
2 tbsp. sugar

In large saucepan over low heat, stir cider, cinnamon, cloves and sugar until sugar dissolves. Simmer 30 minutes; discard cinnamon sticks and cloves.

Reheat in coffeepot and keep hot for serving, or after heating pour into large heatproof bowl, float studded apples for decoration. (Wash apples, then stick whole cloves into apples.) Serve hot in mugs (or hot cups) with a cinnamon stick in each. This recipe can be doubled, tripled, etc...
