LAZY BEEF STEW 
2 lb. lean stew or chicken meat (unbrowned)
8 carrots, cut coin-shaped, rather thick
1 c. sliced celery
1 lg. can whole tomatoes w/juice
1/2 pkg. dry onion soup
3 tbsp. tapioca
4 oz. sherry
2 slices cubed white bread
Pepper
Thyme
Marjoram
Rosemary
3-4 potatoes, cubed
1 pkg. frozen peas

Combine all ingredients except peas and potatoes in large, greased baking dish with cover. Bake at 250 degrees for 6 hours. Put in potatoes after about 3 hours and peas about 1/2 hour before serving.
