1-2 lb. beef to stew
2-3 potatoes; optional
6 carrots
1 onion, cut small
1/2 green pepper, diced
2 cans Hunts tomato sauce, 8 oz. size
2 cans water
2 scant tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. tapioca
Sm. roasting pan or casserole with cover

Cut beef chunks into small pieces. Add diced carrots, potatoes, green pepper, onion, and tapioca. Cover with 2 cans sauce and water; cover and cook. Serve over mashed potatoes, buttered noodles or hot biscuits with green salad.

Cook in oven 3 hours at 325-350 degrees.
