LORRIE'S BISCUITS 
3 c. flour
3/4 c. instant milk
1/8 c. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1/8 c. sugar
1 c. shortening

Mix together, adding enough water to moisten all ingredients. Roll or pat out to desired thickness, then cut and dot with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. This is 1/4 of original recipe. These biscuits can be frozen, then baked as needed.
