HOT WATER CORNBREAD 
1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
3 tbsp. Crisco
1/4 tsp. sugar

Mix all ingredients. Add boiling water, mix well. Heat Crisco until hot. Spoon out cornmeal mixture, drop into hot skillet to form patties. Cook on low heat until golden on each side. Mash often so that the patties are thin. Drain on paper towel before serving.
