NACHO CASSEROLE 
1 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. garlic, minced
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 taco seasoning mix
1 (20 oz.) can kidney beans
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 (8 oz.) bag tortilla chips
1/2 c. mild taco sauce
1/2 c. chopped green onions

Brown meat, onion and garlic. Stir in tomato sauce and taco seasoning; set aside. Drain kidney beans and toss with 1 cup cheese. Grease a shallow 2-quart pan and layer bottom with 1/3 chips, then bean mixture. Cover beans with more chips, then meat mixture. Top with more chips, then drizzle taco sauce over chips. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions. Bake at 375 degrees for 1/2 hour. Serves 8.
