CRUST FOR FRIED PIES | |
3 c. self-rising flour 1 c. Crisco shortening (if using plain flour, add 1 tsp. salt) 1 egg, beaten 1 tbsp. vinegar 6 tbsp. cool water Mix flour, salt and Crisco. Mix thoroughly. Beat egg and vinegar together. Put water in with vinegar and mix. Pour over flour mixture. Mix real good. Put in ice box and let chill. Will keep for a week. Makes 12 or more crusts. |
