PEAR & APPLE JAM 
1 pt. diced pears
Grated rind of 1 lemon
3 1/2 c. sugar
1 pt. diced apples
Juice of 1 lemon

Combine all ingredients and heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Boil rapidly until mixture is thick and clear. Cool slightly. Pour into sterile jars and seal. Makes 1 1/2 pints.
