2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. orange juice
2 tbsp. orange rind
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar together. Mix the rest of ingredients together mixing well. Drop from spoon into hot fat at 375 degrees.
