UNBELIEVABLY GOOD EGGNOG 
12 egg yolks
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
3/4 c. light rum
1 1/2 pt. brandy
1 pt. whipping cream
1 pt. half and half
1/2 gallon ice cream (vanilla)
12 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
Ground nutmeg

Beat egg yolks until light. Gradually add sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Beat well. Place in punch bowl. Add rum gradually, stirring constantly. Add brandy and continue to stir until well blended. Let this mixture stand in a cold place overnight, stirring occasionally. The next day, add cream, half and half and ice cream. Beat egg whites with 6 tablespoons sugar. Fold into egg nog mixture. Sprinkle each serving with nutmeg if desired. Yield: 40 servings.
