CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. milk
1 stick butter
5 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, butter, and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Blend well after each. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 25 to 30 minutes.

CHOCOLATE ICING:

Pancake syrup
Powdered sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 stick butter
