Halibut fillets, sliced in thin, sm. chunks
Krusteaz (or any complete buttermilk pancake mix)
Beer (any good brand)
Potato flakes (instant mashed potatoes)

Mix krusteaz and beer together to make a thin batter. Season to taste. Dip halibut chunks in batter, then into potato flakes, coating well. Deep fry until golden brown.

1 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. curry powder
