SAUSAGE ROLLS 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
5 tbsp. shortening
2/3 c. milk
1 lb. well seasoned sausage (or as desired)

Sift flour with salt and baking powder. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk all at once and mix. Divide dough in two parts. roll out 1/4 inch thick. Spread with sausage (must be at room temperature). Roll up as for jelly roll. Repeat with remaining dough. Wrap in waxed paper and chill in refrigerator. When ready to serve, slice 1/3 or 1/4 inch thick and bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown. This can be served with eggs for breakfast.
