SANTA'S WHISKERS 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. chopped cherries, drained
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. coconut flakes

Melt butter. Add sugar until fluffy. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in flour slowly, then add cherries and nuts. Shape into 3 (7-inch) rolls and roll in coconut flakes. Wrap in waxed paper and chill thoroughly. Cut into 1/4-inch slices.

Bake in 375°F oven on ungreased cookie sheet approximately 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
