1 blue box seeded raisins
1 c. lard
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 c. hot water, boil for 1 minute, let stand
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour and soda. Mix all ingredients together. Mix with your hands. Use a tube pan or Bundt pan. Pour into cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

ICING:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
3/4 c. half & half
2 tbsp. butter

Cook until soft ball stage. Take off of stove and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Beat until right for the cake.
