MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
7 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
1 c. grease (bacon, beef or chicken)
1 tbsp. ginger
2 c. molasses
1 c. warm water
1 tbsp. baking soda

Cream sugar, grease and salt. Sift flour and ginger. Dissolve baking soda in warm water. Combine sugar and grease with molasses, then add flour alternately with water. Roll part of dough on floured board, flour dough and cut with jelly glass. Place on greased sheet and bake until done at 375 degrees or no imprint remains when touched lightly.
