9 oz. pkg. cake mix (1 layer size)
1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. brown sugar
1 3/4 c. water

Mix chocolate or white cake mix according to package directions. Pour into an ungreased 8 inch square baking pan. Mix cocoa and brown sugar together and sprinkle over cake batter. Pour hot water over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. It's powerful good eatin' when done, for the chocolate sauce is on the bottom. Best serve it warm with ice cream.
