SLOW BAKING BEEF STEW | |
2 lbs. beef stew meat 1 med. onion, sliced 1 stalk celery, sliced 6 carrots, pared and cut in chunks 2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. tapioca 3/4 c. tomato juice Place the first 4 ingredients in 11 x 7 inch ungreased pan; blend salt, sugar, and tapioca; sprinkle over ingredients in pan. Add tomato juice; cover pan with foil, crimp, and seal tightly. Bake at 250 degrees for 4 hours. |
