ITALIAN SESAME COOKIES 
1/4 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 to 1 c. sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar until very light and fluffy. Add vanilla and 2 eggs. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Chill dough 1 hour. Form into sticks about 2 inches long by 3/4 inch wide. Dip in remaining beaten egg and roll in sesame seeds. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until brown. 3 1/2 dozen.
