1 lb. raw shrimp 2 tsp. Worcestershire 1/4 c. sherry 1 clove garlic (crushed) 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. minced parsley In a shallow pan, over low heat, melt 1/2 cup butter. Add 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup sherry, 1 clove crushed garlic, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1 tablespoon sugar. Mix well. Arrange 1 pound raw shrimp, deveined, (you may shell if you like - I don't) in a single layer in the sauce. Spoon sauce over shrimp and broil at low heat 8 minutes. Remove from broiler and let stand 15 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley. Broil on high for 3 minutes. Eat as appetizer or serve with rice. |
